ENVIRONMENT SHOW

enviroment showThis is a great NEW show for schools I’ve already had the pleasure of visiting.

This show focuses on how we need to be
mindful of the ways we share the
Environment with our animal friends.

Students are treated to a visit from Chewy
the Beaver and Mikey the Macaw.

The show addresses expectations from the
newly revised Ontario Science & Technology
Curriculum. (Life Systems Strand)

“He took out his friend Chewy who was a Beaver. We talked about
trees. How you can make paper and how animals need trees.”

Grade 1 Student

SCIENCE SHOW

Bring the Science curriculum to life with this program!

An entertainingdemonstration explains four of the “Six Simple Machines” (lever, pulley, inclined plane, wheel & axle).

The highlight of the experiment is when one of the students rides in the “go-cart”! Additional Science topics are also presented.

“It’s a great introduction to
the unit.”

Heather Linnington, Echo Place Public School, Brantford

"NO-BULLY ZONE"

no bullyCharacter Education Show

This show gives a positive look at how everyone can work together to decrease
bullying.

Together we explore the character trait of
Empathy and discover that each one of us
already has inside what it takes to be a
“Real Life, Everyday Hero”.

Other Themes touched on include:

  • Diversity
  • Equality
  • Working Together

“Students enjoyed the show and returned to the classroom with a better
understanding of Empathy.”

C. Knight, Rousseau Public School, Ancaster

(Both are based on the newly revised Ontario Science & Technology Curriculum.)

LIGHT & SOUND

Students are treated to a visit from our friend “The Professor” who has inadvertently re-invented Newton’s colour wheel.

Overall Expectation: (from the
Matter & Energy strand) “investigate
the characteristics and properties of
light and sound.”

“The children certainly enjoyed the
show and it was right on the Grade 4
curriculum.”

C. Favell, Steele Street School, Port Colbourne

ELECTRICITY SHOW

No doubt, a field trip to the Science Centre is an excellent experience. But if you don’t quite have the time or budget…why not have “The Professor” come to you? He brings his Van de Graaff machine right to your gym! It’s the ultimate static electricity experiment.

Overall Expectation: (from the
Structures & Mechanisms strand)
“investigate the characteristics of
static and current electricity”

“The BarryO’ Kidshow was definitely amazing! The students couldn’t stop
commenting about him after the show. I would definitely recommend booking him for an exciting scientific thrill.”
