My childhood was influenced by the likes of Frank Shuster, Johnny Wayne, Carol Burnett, and most importantly, Red Skelton. They were role models who taught me how to look on the lighter side of life with a clean, simple sense of humour. I owe them a lot.

I’ve been fortunate to have learned a lot of lessons in my various roles as a farmer, mechanic, musician, camp counsellor, waiter, Sunday school teacher, youth group leader and Big Brother. If I had to sum up what I’ve learned so far it would be “machines are interesting but Kids…they’re Fascinating!“

Children are everyone’s responsibility, whether they are your own, or your neighbours’ or a child on the other side of the planet . If we do something each day to help improve their self esteem, learn something valuable, or somehow make their world a happier place…then I think we’re on track.
